Ministry Plan

Ministry Plan

Jesus said, “This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15:12)

Care Ministry is simply loving one another just as Jesus commanded and demonstrated. It is what we do every day for each other, our families, our colleagues, and our community. While there are components of this caring that takes place at the church building and through church programs and ministries, most of it is part of the genuine Christian lifestyle as a natural expression of the fruit of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

The REALLY Big Picture!

Much of life is confusing and unpredictable. Yet, if we can catch a glimpse of the REALLY big picture, we can begin to understand what is happening all around us. The Prophet Isaiah gives us a peek: In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with…

In Luke 4:16-30, when Jesus began his earthly ministry, he stood up in the synagogue in his home town and read the first part out of a passage written by Isaiah centuries before: The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the…

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be…

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27 NIV) Pure and faultless religion, the lifestyle of those who bring glory to God, involves caring for those who are in distress. In the narrow sense, it includes children who have lost their parents and women who have lost their husbands. However, the distress of orphans and…

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV)

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. (2 Corinthians 1:2-4 NIV)

He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. (Colossians 1:28 NIV) So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to…

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 NIV) He said to them, “Go into all the world…
